 The
Al Habtoor Polo Team took on the Hildon
Team on a friendly match played on 27
April 2002. The Polo Challenges
took place at the Desert Palm Polo and
Country Club (Albwardi Polo Club) and
created a lot of excitement among the
spectarors. Before the match Mr.
Mohammed al Habtoor, the team leader of
Al Habtoor Polo Team, said: "We are
sure to give our opponents a real fight
for victory. Either way we are all
in it to have a great time, as usual,
and no matter what the result, everyone
is a winner". Many of the
UAE's prominent figures were among the
spectators to witness one of the fastest
ball games in the world and cheer on
their teams.
The
match ended with a 7-5 victory for the
Habtoor Polo team.
