and "Best Coupe" AUTOCAR Middle East Awards for the year
2004. Mr. Ian Gorsuch, Regional Director of Bentley has
received the awards at the First Annual AUTOCAR Middle
East Awards ceremony. The ceremony was held under the
partronage of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al
Maktoum at Madinat Jumeirah on Saturday, 27th November
2004.

The
management of Metropolitan Palace Hotel Beirut, Habtoor

submitted the 2005 budget of Habtoor Hospitality in

Mr.
Khalaf Al Habtoor, Chairman of Al Habtoor group hosted a
dinner reception on Sunday, 9th January 2005
in the Metropolitan Hotel Dubai for the senior
management of Al Habtoor Group to celebrate the results
achieved in 2004 and to acknowledge the efforts of all
members if the group for their contribution.
Mr. Khalaf Al
Habtoor in his speech to the gathering have started that
Dubai had officially reported a phenomenal GDP growth
rate in excess of 16% in the year 2004 and compounded
growth rate of 10% since 1995, which makes it amongst
the highest in the world. This has been reflected in
the performance of Al Habtoor Group, where it has
achieved a growth rate of 44.31% in 2004 over the
previous year. Moreover, Al Habtoor Group business has
grown in the last decade by an impressive 204.63%. He
further commented that in order to make this growth
sustainable, we have to expand and grow in out core
industries. Therefore, Al Habtoor Group has been
investing heavily in lot of new strategic projects to
name a few: Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa, Jumeirah Beach,
Emirates International School at Meadows-Emirates Hills,
Emirates International School Jumeirah Girls section,
Habtoor Place a luxury residential building on Sheikh
Zayed Road, Habtoor Motors Service & Spare Parts,
Diamond Lease Main Operation Centre at Dubai Investment
Park, New Al Habtoor Motors complex at Umm Romoul,
Senior Management residential village in Dubai
Investment Park.
Mr. Khalaf Al
Habtoor shared with the gathering the successful opening
of Habtoorland in Beirut Lebanon, the first real theme
park in the Middle East & Arab world, which was
inaugurated by President Emile Lahoud. Furthermore, he
announced that Habtoor Grand Hotel, Convention Centre &
Spa in Beirut Lebanon is scheduled to open in mid 2005.
Therefore, all these projects which have been completed
or committed during the year 2004/2005 would make the
Groups total investment Dhs. 1,477 Billion.
The construction
arm of Al Habtoor group, Al Habtoor Engineering
Enterprises have been awarded this year a number of
prestigious contracts in excess of 9 Billion Dirhams. |
