His Highness Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan met with Mr. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, in the presence of the brother of Mr. Khalaf, Mr. Sultan Al Habtoor and Mr. Mohammed Al Habtoor, the chairman’s son and CEO of the group. The gentlemen conferred on current local and global economical situation and exchanged views on the situation of the educational sector in the Arab world and the UAE and the ways to improve it.

Khalaf Al Habtoor Visits The Prince Of Kuwait

After receiving an invitation from the President of Lebanon General Michel Suleiman, His Highness Sheikh Subah Al Ahmad Al Subah, Prince of Kuwait, visited the republic of Lebanon. Mr. Khalaf Al Habtoor paid His Highness a visit in his suite in the Habtoor Grand Hotel Beirut. His Excellency Humaid Mohammed Al Khatami Visits Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor

Mr. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, received in his offices His Excellency Humaid Mohammed Al Khathami, the minister of education in the UAE. Present was the brother of Mr. Khalaf, Mr. Sultan Al Habtoor and Mr. Mohammed Al Habtoor, the CEO of the group. In the meeting, the gentlemen exchanged their views on the situation of the educational sector in the Arab world and the UAE and the possible ways to improve the standard of education in the Nation. In 1991, the Al Habtoor Group established the Emirates International School, The first International Baccalaureate Diploma Program School in Dubai. Today it educates over 4000 students from 100 different Nationalities.

Khalaf Al Habtoor Receives American University of Cairo Executives

Mr. Khalaf Al Habtoor recently received in his offices, a delegation from the American Uni- versity of Cairo. Mrs. Mary Iskander, Senior Advisor to the President, and Mr. Ken Manotti, Vice presi- dent, office of institutional advancement expressed to Mr. Al Habtoor the univer- sity’s gratitude. “The new Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Track and Stadium has made the AUC the object of envy of all the universities in Cairo and the region. Our students are en- joying tremendously” Mr. Manotti said. The attendants reviewed the progress of the final stages of the “Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Track and Stadium,” a generous donation from Mr. Khalaf in support of the American University in Cairo, which will be officially inaugurated in the winter 2010 / 2011. “We came to Dubai on behalf of the president of the university and its trustees especially to meet Mr. Al Habtoor and to invite him to come to our campus and spend a day with our faculty, a day which we wish to organize in his honor” commented Mrs. Iskander. Mr. Manotti briefed Mr. Al Habtoor on the new students who come from the west, espe- cially the United States of America to major in Islamic Studies, and invited Mr. Al Habtoor to hold a lecture, to speak to the students about his experience in life and business. The meeting, which included the COO of Al Habtoor Group, Mr. Alaa El Husseini and other executives from Al Habtoor Group, concluded on the promise to meet next in Cairo.
