UAE Flag Day

by The Media Office

The Al Habtoor Group has long been flying the flag of the United Arab Emirates. After all, the Group’s motto is ‘Growing with the UAE’. Each year the management takes time out of its busy schedule to take part in a flag raising ceremony. This year directors from the head office joined Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman & CEO to raise the country’s flag. Flag Day, which is commemorated on November 3 every year since it was first launched in 2013, is aimed at reaffirming allegiance to the UAE flag, which is a symbol of the country’s unity and aspirations for a brighter future. The day marks the anniversary of the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, when he became the president of the UAE in 2004. It is a national occasion where people remember the efforts of the founders of the UAE.

46 National Day

UAE National Day is another occasion celebrated by the Al Habtoor Group. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman, raised the UAE flag to commemorate the country’s 46th year since the Federation was formed on 2 December 1971. The management also marked Martyr's Day, by stopping for one minute of silence to honour the UAE heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the UAE.
