The highly-anticipated World Premiere of La Perle by Dragone was a massive hit in mid-September where more 1,300 VIPs and celebrities from around the world gathered in the state-of-the-art theatre to see the future of live entertainment in Dubai. Joanna Andrews reports.
The La Perle Foyer was buzzing with excitement as local and international VIPs and celebrities gathered at Al Habtoor City to see the aqua show for the first time. Guests were dressed in their fineries as Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group, who brought the show to Dubai, mingled with the stars of the show accompanied by Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman and CEO and Franco Dragone, Creative Director of Dragone.
The audience was awe-struck as they witnessed the coming together of world-class talent with the most technically-advanced theatre. The artists wowed the crowd as they performed their death-defying feats with ease.
La Perle is a 90-minute extravaganza of jaw-dropping acts featuring acrobats, high divers and aerialists. The finale of the show features a breathtaking motorbike stunt.“The precision is astounding,” said one guest. “I literally held my breath when the bikers were performing. Absolutely amazing.”
Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor said, “Each time I see the show I see something I haven’t seen before. There is so much going on, and so much talent in one room. I feel a sense of pride when I see the audience reaction to the show.”
He added, “La Perle is a wonderful addition to Al Habtoor City and the entertainment sector in the UAE. It has secured Dubai’s position as a world-class entertainment hub.”
Franco Dragone said, “I want to provide a little piece of eternity for the region, a place of escape that any culture and ethnicity can understand and enjoy. I was so inspired by Dubai and it is an honour to introduce that vision to the world.”
After the performance guests followed the stars of the show to an After Party at Boa, located at the top of the W Dubai – Al Habtoor City.
La Perle takes place two times a night, five days a week. Tuesday to Friday at 7pm and 9pm, and on Saturdays at 4pm and 7pm.
