Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group welcomed Bego Gutic, Prime Minister of Tuzla Canto to his office on Sunday 1 October, 2017. Also present was Enver Hogic, the Prime Minister’s Legal Advisor, and Rifet Karasalihovic, Chief Executive Officer of Bosnia’s Tuzla International Airport.
The meeting, which took place at the Al Habtoor Group head office, was also attended by Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman & CEO, Al Habtoor Group; Mohammed Fadhel Al Mazrooei, Executive Director, Al Habtoor Group; Sanjeev Agarwala, Chief Operating Officer – Hospitality, Investments and Real Estate, and Abdul Salam Marzooqi, Director of UAE affairs and Community relations. Prime Minister Gutic discussed potential investment opportunities in Tuzla Canto, one of 10 cantons of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Al Habtoor Group Chairman expressed his interest in hospitality and agricultural industries. He said, “In recent years we have expanded our hospitality division further afield. We now have four hotels in Europe, with a particular focus on Eastern Europe where valuations are more favourable than in the mature European markets.”He added, “Agricultural investment is also a top priority. We need to ensure that we invest enough in food security to protect our country for generations to come.”
