The Al Habtoor Group stole the show at Cityscape Global 2016 with two flagship projects – Al Habtoor City Residence Collection and The Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club - cementing its position as a leading developer. Joanna Andrews reports.
The Al Habtoor Group showed off its two largest developments at Cityscape Global 2016 at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 6-8 September 2016 catching the attention of both HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
The UAE conglomerate showcased its flagship Al Habtoor City Residence Collection alongside its just-launched Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club at the three-day exhibition, considered the region’s largest and most influential international real estate development and investment event.
Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman, Al Habtoor Group said, “These are exciting times for the Group. Over the past few years we have been developing new state of the art landmarks in Dubai. Al Habtoor City’s Hotel Collection is now open, and the Residence Collection is taking shape on the Dubai skyline. The urban development has everything under one roof, plus the added value from the soon to open Dubai Water Canal.”

Both Al Habtoor City Residence Collection and The Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club are scheduled for handover in 2017.
Al Habtoor City Residence Collection, which sits on the banks of The Dubai Water Canal, is available for sale and lease. It incorporates three high rise luxury towers alongside three five-star hotels (The St. Regis Dubai, W Dubai – Al Habtoor City, The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City). It consists of more than 1,400 apartments ranging from three to seven bedrooms, and has the added benefit of both the Hotel Collection and the Leisure Collection which includes a state of the art tennis academy with an indoor court, the UAE’s largest pool deck measuring 35,000 square feet, a fully-equipped gym, and multiple retail outlets on the Boulevard, within the hotels and in The Atrium - which consists of seven different restaurants spread over five floors. Plus, 2017 will see the debut of La Perle, a unique world-class theatrical production by Dragone.
“We are very pleased with the demand we have received in this landmark project,” the Chairman said.
The Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club incorporates a total of 147 luxury villas surrounding the state of the art equine development, with views across the polo fields. There are 122 villas, ranging from 3 to 5 bedrooms, available for rent, while 25 St. Regis branded villas will be operated by Marriot International.
The development has 520 stables providing a healthy environment for both the horse and rider. In addition, there will be a riding school with quality teachers offering multiple disciplines including polo, dressage, show jumping and traditional horseback riding. In addition, there will be a dressage arena and show jumping arena.
The six million square foot development also boasts three well maintained polo fields, which will be utilized by the Polo Club and play host to world-class international polo events throughout the year.
