Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman, Al Habtoor Group welcomed John Frederick Nelson, Chairman, Lloyd’s of London at his office on Al Wasl Road on 13 April 2016. Lloyd’s of London set up a regional office headquartered in Dubai in 2015.
Al Habtoor said he was delighted to hear that Lloyd’s had a presence in the city. “Lloyd’s of London is the oldest and best known name in the insurance world. Having a regional office here reinforces the importance of Dubai to the wider region,”
Lloyd’s Dubai office, based at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), provides Lloyd’s an underwriting base in the Middle East and North Africa region. Nelson is in Dubai to mark the first anniversary of the Dubai office.
