Hildon Lift Trophy

Team Hildon rode to a 7-6 victory over Team Bentley/Rolls Royce in the Hildon Mineral Water medium goal polo match at the Albwardy Polo Club. Team Bentley/Rolls Royce dominated most of the action during four of the five chukkers but Mohammed Al Habtoor struck the winner for Hildon in the dying moments of the last chukker. The scoring was opened by Rashid Al Habtoor, with star performannces by the young Khalid Gubash and Saud Khoury, who has been playing for only 18 months. “I thoroughly enjoyed this very competitive match and was supported by a great team captained by Ali Albwardy. I am happy that the event was a wonderful success and am excited that Hildon will be more involved in sporting events in the future. There will be another polo match just before the summer sets in,” said Mohammed Al Habtoor, owner of MH Investments, who distribute Hildon Mineral Water in the Middle East. Happy with his success, Mohammed Al Habtoor said he is planning on some taking some intensive training in polo. “So far, I have trained only here in Dubai. But this summer I am headed for the UK on the advice of my coach. While in the UK we will be training and playing in a low-goal and medium-goal tournament.” The prize giving ceremony was held by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum.
