Al Habtoor Group's vice-chairman meets senior representatives from Starwood's hotels

Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman and CEO of the Al Habtoor Group met with the senior leaders of one of the world’s largest hotel companies – Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide on January 11, 2011.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide owns no less than 992 hotel properties around the world. It employs over 145,000 people and holds nine of the world’s leading hotel names, including Le Meridien, the Westin, the Sheraton, and Starwood’s main luxury brand – St Regis.

Frits Van Paasschen, the President and CEO of the company, and Vasant Prabhu, the Vice Chairman and CFO, headed up the team of senior executives at the meeting. The discussion concentrated on future possibilities for business collaborations and further development of a partnership between the two groups.

The Al Habtoor Group currently owns six hotels, located in Dubai and Beirut; all of which which operate under the umbrella name of Habtoor Hotels, the hospitality arm of the Emirati conglomerate.
