A large number of the graduating class of 2011 of Emirates International School - Jumeirah plan to continue their studies abroad.

Nearly all 69 members of the class, representing 29 different nationalities, say they will continue their education at university level. The United Kingdom, Canada and the United States are the most popular destinations.

This came to light at the recent graduation ceremony, held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the school, which is now in its 19th year.

The prestigious function was attended by a number of guests, students, parents and other dignitaries. While Jianne George Pazhamalil was the Valedictorian this year, Noora Al Habtoor delivered the Arabic speech and Makin Aboualzahab gave the English translation. Emirates International School – Jumeirah was established in 1991. The IGCSE and International Baccalaureate Diploma curricula have made it a popular choice and it now has over 1,800 students.
