Le Méridien Budapest has long been a favourite haunt of many celebrities around the world. Some of its most recent visitors include Formula 1 drivers and teams (Mercedes AMG Petronas and Williams) who stayed at the hotel for the duration of the Hungarian Grand Prix in July. The guests included Torger Christian (Exec Director of Mercedes AMG Petronas), Niki Lauda (Former F1 driver), Ross James Brawn (Team Principal of Mercedes AMG Petronas), Pastor Rafael Maldonado Motta (Williams), Valtteri Bottas (Williams), and retired F1 driver David Coulthard. Other high profile guests included their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.

Le Méridian Budapest, part of the Al Habtoor Group portfolio, was recently voted Hungary’s Leading Business Hotel 2013 by the World Travel Awards. This is the fourth consecutive year it has earned the accolade. The World Travel Awards is voted for by travel and tourism professionals worldwide.
