AHG NEWS Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group held talks with Dusan Horniak, the Slovakian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates on Monday 21 August 2017 at the Al Habtoor Group head office. They discussed the political and economic climate in Slovakia, and HE Horniak briefed the Al Habtoor Group Chairman on increased tourism in the Eastern European country and told him about tourism related investments. The Ambassador said tourism is on the rise in the country which offers tourists a diverse offering. Slovakia, part of the European Union, is renowned for its beautiful natural landscapes, mountains and medieval castles. Khalaf Al Habtoor, who currently owns two hotels in Eastern Europe said, “Over the past few years I have increased my international assets in Europe. We now have two hotels in Hungary, The Ritz-Carlton, Budapest and the InterContinental Budapest; one in Austria, The Al Habtoor holds talks with Slovakian Ambassador to UAE Hotel Imperial Vienna and one in London, the Hilton London Wembley. I am always on the lookout for further opportunities if the climate is right.” Creating new habitats Chairman Al Habtoor is a renowned nature lover. His farm in Dubai is proof of that. He has turned what was desert landscape into green open spaces full of wildlife.
