Hi-tech catering facility reopens

The Al Habtoor Group’s Metropolitan Catering reopened in mid-July after undergoing a multi-million-dirham makeover. Joanna Andrews whet her appetite at the state of the art facilities.

Metropolitan Catering, located in Jebel Ali Freezone, was inaugurated by Mohammad Al Habtoor, Vice- Chairman & CEO, Al Habtoor Group at a ceremony on 12 July 2016. Guests were able to sample the mouthwatering delights provided by Met Catering chefs, and were given an exclusive tour of the state of the art kitchen facilities.

The hi-tech revamp, costing AED 25 million, includes the rebuild and fit-out of the kitchens which has increased output capacity at the 18,0000 sq. ft. facility to up to 45,000 meals per day, making it the largest of its kind in Dubai.

Earlier this year Metropolitan Catering unveiled a fresh Hi-tech catering facility reopens new brand identity in line with the new facilities.

Mohammed Al Habtoor said, “Metropolitan Catering is a fresh and forward thinking company improving in line with the growing demands of Dubai clientele. The recent renovation is a manifestation of the growing a culture of excellence from within to consistently deliver the highest quality of food, service and value.”

Ramy El Sayah, the General Manager, who oversees 170 chefs, hospitality professionals and logistic experts said, “The investment has elevated Metropolitan Catering to a stand out choice amongst its peers and we’re looking forward to winning new business as a result.”
