Khalaf Al Habtoor welcomed a delegation from the Bahrain-based Good Word Society at his office on Al Wasl Road on 14 April 2016. The delegation included Hassan Bohazza, Director General of the Association and Head of the Arab Union for Voluntary Work; Latifa Youssef Al BoRashed, supervisor of the Women’s Department, Saoud Al Yassi, Supervisor of the Men’s Department, and Badriya Mohammad Al Mahmeed, PR Manager.
The Good Word Society is a Bahrain-based civil society organization that focuses on development and growth in cooperation with the Bahraini government and civil institutions. Its core mission is to build institutional models of excellence in a framework of solidarity and engagement.
The delegation briefed Khalaf Al Habtoor on the projects undertaken by the Association, mainly the Al Muharraq Senior Care Home that reflects the Association’s interest in helping the elderly, and its desire to contribute to government and civil efforts to care for the elderly and help them integrate back into society. Through the Senior Care Home, the Association provides services for over four thousand pensioners.
