Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor welcomed His Excellency Dr Obaid Al Zaabi, Acting CEO, Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) at his office on Wednesday January 6, 2016. HE Dr Zaabi took over from Abdullah Al Turifi as Acting CEO of the UAE in November 2015.
Also present as part of the courtesy visit was Saif Al Tunaiji, Insurance and Disclosure Director, SCA; Sultan Al Habtoor, President, Al Habtoor Motors and Ramez Abou Zaid, General Manager at Dubai National Insurance and Reinsurance (DNIR).
The SCA is striving to improve financial services and markets in the United Arab Emirates. Chairman A l Habtoor praised the work conducted by the UAE federal stock market regulator and said it was of great benefit to the future of the country. “I commend the achievements of the SCA. It is taking care of important issues for the betterment of our nation’s economy.”
He added, “Awareness is key to success. The SCA is helping to further develop our financial markets with improved standards of regulation and legal awareness by adopting and implementing standards of excellence.”
