Henning Fries has been promoted to Managing Director-Hospitality Division, Al Habtoor Group from Director of Operations, Habtoor Hotels. Mr. Fries, who joined the Group in early 2013, oversees the global hotel assets, and has been instrumental in driving growth in the hotels division of the Dubai-based conglomerate.
The promotion, which took place in February, is part of a realignment of a cohesive strategy across the Group.

The Al Habtoor Group’s hotel business has expanded fast over the past few years and the Group has ambitious plans in the pipeline, as part Fries’ remit. He recently oversaw the successful opening of the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah, the latest addition to the Al Habtoor Group’s growing portfolio. He will also oversee the opening of ‘Al Habtoor City,’ which will open in 2016.
