Al Habtoor bids farewell to French Ambassador to the UAE

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group, received His Excellency Alain Azouaou, the French Ambassador to the UAE in his office on Al Wasl Road on Wednesday October 9.

Mr Azouaou paid a courtesy visit to the Al Habtoor Group Chairman to say farewell as his tenure comes to an end. Al Habtoor told the French Ambassador that he valued their friendship and urged him to stay in the UAE as he has made good progress in deepening relation and cooperation between the UAE and France. Since the Ambassador arrived in the UAE, the Al Habtoor Group has welcomed several French business delegations based in France and the UAE, giving them guided tours of the Group’s entities and the opportunity to meet the Chairman and senior management of the Al Habtoor Group.

Al Habtoor and Mr Azouaou discussed the increased number of small to medium sized businesses (SME’s) who are considering opening offices in the Emirates. Al Habtoor encouraged more French businesses and individuals to do work in the UAE, “The UAE has good growth prospects for companies,” he said. “It is one of the only places in the world that is experiencing rapid economic growth. It is a great place to do business, and offers many opportunities for expatriates – including tax free benefits and ease of doing business.
