Two of the UAE’s most prominent businessmen met to discuss their philanthropic efforts. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group visited HE Easa Saleh Al Gurg, Chairman of Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group at his company’s headquarters on Thursday, February 28 to discuss the mandate of the Al Jalila Foundation.
The Al Jalila Foundation, a non-profit entity, was set up in November 2012 by a decree of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The Foundation supports medical education and research.
Al Habtoor, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Al Jalila Foundation, was accompanied by Dr Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama, Chief Executive Office of the Al Jalila Foundation; Dr Muhadditha Al Hashimi, a member of the Board of Directors and Abdul Salam Al Marzooqi, General Secretary and Director of the recently set up Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Foundation. The President of the Al Jalila Foundation is His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group.
Easa Saleh Al Gurg said he appreciated the visit by Al Habtoor in his capacity as Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Al Jalila Foundation.
Al Habtoor said, “I was happy to meet with Mr Al Gurg. We discussed many initiatives and ways the Al Jalila Foundation can help develop the country.”
