Khalaf Al Habtoor takes the lead to help victims of Syria ...

In line with a ‘Winter Relief’ campaign launched by HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and organised by the United Arab Emirates Red Crescent Authority to help Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon, Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, donated much-needed blankets and heaters.

Under the slogan 'Let's make their winter warm', Abdul Salam Al Marzooqi, Director of Community Relations at Al Habtoor Group, hand-delivered the donation to the UAE Red Crescent Authority of Dubai.

Khalaf Al Habtoor said, "It is our duty to give a helping hand to alleviate the suffering of our brothers, the Syrian refugees in the camps."

He added, “The donation in this case represents a national, humanitarian and moral contribution, and an extension of the approach developed by the late Sheikh Rashid, may he rest in peace, to provide assistance to humanitarian causes that haunt many peoples in the world."

Mohammad Abdallah Zarooni, Director of UAE Red Crescent Authority, said: "We would like to thank Mr Khalaf Al Habtoor for responding to the campaign of His Highness the President. This is not new to Mr Al Habtoor who is always in the foreground in charitable work, like all Emirati citizens. May God reward him well and all those who responded to the campaign."
