Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor received His Excellency Vipul, Consul General of India to Dubai at his offices on Sunday 7 January 2018. The meeting, which took place at the Al Habtoor Group headquarters, was also attended by Sultan Al Habtoor, President, Al Habtoor Motors; Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman & CEO, Al Habtoor Group; Sanjeev Agarwala, Chief Operating Officer – Hospitality, Investments and Real Estate, and Rashid Al Habtoor.
This was the first meeting between Al Habtoor and Vipul who took charge as the new Consul-General in April 2017. The conversation focused around India-UAE relations and the strong bond between the two nations and possible bilateral investment opportunities.
The Al Habtoor Group Chairman expressed his deep appreciation for the contributions of the Indian community in the development of the United Arab Emirates. He said, “Our ties with India go back to the days before the Union, when we used to trade Gold, and have never weakened since.”
